The "STAN" Countries

Easy as 1,2,3

1. Know How Many
   • Only 7 "stan" countries
   • Two pairs of Twins
     • The "T" twins & the "K" twins
2. Visualize a "Pack of 7 Stans" slung over the NW shoulder of INDIA
   1. The "Pack" starts, of course, with Pakistan
   2. Next pack a warm "Afghan Blanket" for the high mountains of Afghanistan
   3. The 1st set of Twins begin with Turkmenistan
      • It's on the eastern side closer to Turkey
   4. The "T" Twins conclude with Tajikistan
      • It's on the western side closer to the Taj Mahal in India
   5. Dividing the "T" twins and the only "Stan" country completely surrounded by "Stan" countries is Uzbekistan
   6. The 2nd pair of Twins begins with the largest of all "stans" and sits at the top like a crown: Kazakhstan
   7. Finally like the period at the end of a sentence, this "K" twin completes the pack: Kyrgystan
